Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is the first installment of the We are Voulhire series, which is a fantasy novel. The book tells the story of Galen Bray and other characters. Galen seizes the chance to escape his country's devastation and poverty with both hands and rushes toward the shore, where his journey toward salvation will begin. He runs away to his uncle's kingdom, where he finds an inheritance and a chance to start over. He is grateful for the warm welcome he receives in Voulhire. Furthermore, he quickly makes friends and sets out to master his uncle's steel-forging trade. But things are not as they seem. In the kingdom of Voulhire, trouble is brewing.
What I liked about this book is that the viewpoint changes throughout, and I loved how the author told his story with clarity and detail. Despite not being a massive fan of fantasy books, I really liked this book, and I am eager to read the next installment in the series. The author used simple, easy-to-understand language, and the book was engrossing to read. The written scenes and characters' emotions were vivid in my mind. For people like me who have never read about Voulhire, I found it very helpful that the author included a map of the nation of Voulhire at the beginning of this book, as well as a comprehensive reference guide in alphabetical order. I really enjoyed reading this interesting book.
There was nothing about the book that I didn't like. The book had excellent writing and was enjoyable to read. Although the book has many characters, it can be challenging to keep track of all the names and subjects that are mentioned in the book. Although that did not affect my understanding and comprehension of this wonderful book, apart from that, I found this book to be very enjoyable and was able to fully comprehend the intricate plots. I like how the author illustrates how, despite being granted dominion over everything, it is human nature to compete for wealth and power. Amazing characters abound in the book.
My expectations for the book were more than met, and it piqued my interest in the remaining books in the series. The plot of the book is clear, and there is no diminution of suspense in any way. The author did an exceptional job of writing such an incredible book. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it; therefore, it was professionally edited. As a result, I am rating this book 4 out of 4 stars.
I will recommend this book to lovers of fantasy, suspense, and young adults.
