So long Earth is a book filled with an adventure at every corner. Unique and outstanding issues keep on popping all over. Dr. Thomas Burns brings up different environmental issues that we are faced with in the modern-day world and continuously shows us the cause and effect relationship that exists. It touches on how humanity's industrialization, commercialization and inventions have impacted the earth and how its effect will lead to deteriorated life for future generations if it is not taken into consideration. The story unfolds to show that though many may not see it, few will always be ready to take action to safeguard the existence of humanity. And many, many, sacrifices will likely be made. Its probes us to think about the possibilities of looking for a new and safer solution to save mother earth or better yet look at the possibilities of looking for a new home beyond our galaxy. It shows that we are yet to test the limits of what great minds with the right resources can accomplish if working together in one accord. How far will we go to save our existence as humans without compromising all aspects that make us human? But then again, what is it that makes us human? If you want a story that questions and shake your stand on faith, religion, morality and science, this is the story for you.

What I like about this story is that it challenges one to think far and beyond what one will normally consider achievable. It requires one to be able to admit to themself that there is more to life than us being on one planet. The author went all out to prove how much effort he put into writing the book by just looking at all the information he had around all the scientific issues he brought up.

All in all, it is a very good well written story so I do not think there is anything negative I can say about the story writing itself. However, it contains so much scientific jargon it requires one to continuously be willing to research if they want to fully understand the aspect brought up and this may be tiring for someone who is not so keen on that but just wants to read for fun.

For rating purposes, I will give this book 4 out of 4. Mainly because I enjoyed reading it and it kept me captivated to the end. And I did not notice any typos or errors in it.

I will recommend this story to teenagers and young adults who have a neck for science and the dreamers who wish to go far and beyond our galaxy. It will truly be an interesting journey for them. I think that most scientists will also find it quite refreshing.
