As the saying goes "Curiosity killed the cat". In this book Dark Matter Empire (Book 1) by Alex Zadeh. This saying is well-reflected by the author so in this case, the cat is "Ryan Stathis" who is the main character in this book. He is described as a thirty-year-old aeronautical engineer with an emphasis in computer science who has also spent the last seven years of his life programming military aircraft systems. So one ruinous day after a very long day at work he realizes that it's so late at night, and he hasn't yet gone back home to his loving wife. When he was finally heading home, something unusual happened around that whole area of the office so when he wanted to go and check on his friend that he had left he was in for the shock of his life.

Personally, the book has been professionally edited, and I haven't found any grammatical errors. So allow me to tell you what I honestly liked about this book is the suspense that you get when reading it.

As I was reading I kept asking myself several questions like will he survive? Will he manage to finally come back to his family, or he will die? And to me, this is very interesting because the more questions I ask myself, the more I want to keep on reading so that I can keep on reading that I'm able to get the answers that I'm looking for. This book also depicts some of the things we go through for example betrayal, love, and friendship. At times the people closest to us can betray us therefore that is why most times it is best to have very few or no friends at all to prevent getting disappointed.

I also love the fact that the author tries to add some humor. For example how the aliens found it strange that water was flowing down his face (meaning sweat) and also they found it strange when he would snore and also some other instances. Generally, such shill humorous moments would lighten up the tension of the reader.

This book deserves 4 out of 4 stars since the author did his level best to keep the readers engaged and interested in reading and also because the book is professionally edited. I would recommend this book to all Sci-fi and adventure lovers this is because this book contains very many adventures and science fiction. I enjoyed reading this book I surely can't wait for the 2nd book in this series.
