Dylan always thought that Emily, his prehistoric Allosaurus was his only friend, the one that sang him a lullaby during his visit to the museum. Well, that was until he grew from the boy that he was into a fine young man whose father was savagely attacked by her, and what was once thought to be a part of his imagination is a reality. In an attempt to keep his daughter and wife safe, he leaves them in Chicago and travels constantly to lure her away from them after all his blood calls to her. But unfortunately, things don't work out as planned as his 16-year-old daughter hunts him down after many years only to reveal that Emily is also after her too and they now have to find a way to kill her forever. But is it that simple to get rid of the problem at hand or are there other monsters that lurk around, one's that can't be seen or heard, those that reside inside of us?

The Different Kinds Of Monsters by Seth Chambers is a novel that will have you hooked from the start to the end. Seth Chambers has succeeded in portraying prehistoric beasts in a novel that is of maturity and is captivating.

I found parts of the book to be disturbing. Dylan is a man who kisses his daughter because of the resemblance to his wife. He also has a sexual relationship with an underage student.

I would rate this book 2 out of 4 stars. The book has errors in it that suggest that it was not professionally edited.

The book contains sexual abuse, violence, rape, and a bit of incest as well. This book is for mature readers.
