Legacy by Sean T. Smith is a sci-fi novel filled with suspense. This book is centered on technological advancements and science. The author has created a unique world that will take the reader on a grand adventure through the world of science. This intricately woven story brings a new approach to science, spaceships and aliens.

The story is centered on several characters and all play a significant role in shaping the story. Nwarht, Jessica, Bryce and Phillip Lucas. These characters are highly advanced in the field of science. The story begins with a nuclear explosions in the Mojave Desert whilst JW was flying over the area. The electronics fail and places JW in a dangerous situation. JW meets a friendly alien who saves his life. This alien is named David. He regrows JW arm and leg after being injured in the explosion whilst flying over the area. While this is occurring, Jessica and Bryce are in Las Vegas enjoying their holiday until sudden dangers reveal themselves and the story takes a sudden turn!

I enjoyed how detailed this story is. It is evident that a lot of time went into creating this book with all its unique ideas and concepts. This novel has great characterization and each character plays a pivotal role in shaping the plot of the story. This story does contain mild humor that breaks down the intensity and complexity of this book. I really appreciated how the author ties in all the character into the story. Legacy is a very unusual book that is centered on the themes of friendship, humor and grief.

There were times that I found the book confusing because I felt that story was being pulled in multiple directions which in turn negatively impacted the growth that novel would have had.

Legacy is nothing short of a brilliant novel. I would rate this book 3 out of 4 stars because it was a fantastic book with great ideas however I did feel that the story was rushed and focused on to many aspects which in turn made it lose structure. The book was edited very well because I found no errors. I believe that the book is written according to American spelling and sometimes these may differ from British english but they are still correct. The book does contain vulgarity but no explicit scenes.

The story is highly suitable to people who enjoy sci-fi and suspense novels.
