The Elf Coup by Jordan David is the third book of his Magi Charter Series. The book is based in Santa Clause's home base, the North Pole, and throughout the book trips to the human world are seen. With Noel Night being the book's Protagonist up against the infamous villain Mistletoe Green, the book's tale of friendship, power, betrayal, and countless adventures was set in motion.
In a state of chaos with their missing Santa Claus and elves stranded in the human world, the North Pole has fallen into its darkest hour.
The sins of a previous Santa have come to haunt the North Pole resulting in vanishing elves, what could be behind it all?
While the elves of the North Pole trying to fend for themselves, Noel has undergone training to defeat the Elf Czar and has uncovered the ancient ways of Elves.
Will the annual Mission be completed? Or will the North Pole be rampaged by the evil schemes?

The Elf Coup delves into the lives and origin of the overshadowed helpers of the North Pole. For once the elves are given a tale of their own instead of it all being surrounded by Santa Claus and the delivery of presents. The Author has a keen sense of description that has each written word taking shape in one's mind. Jordan David's use of suspense is truly impeccable and rivals one of a horror film.

Apart from the minor grammatical errors, The Elf Coup is an exceptional read with an open ending that has us beaming for more.

I rate this book a three out of four stars as it was a refreshing point of view that not only showed the strengths of the main characters but also the minor ones. Each character played an intricate role in producing the plot and it all came full circle.

I recommend The Elf Coup by Jordan David to all age groups especially fantasy lovers, or persons looking for a Christmas-themed or Elfin book.
