Author Karen Glista, takes us on a marvellous journey filled with a beautiful culture, a family who has suffered great loss and blended with another to become significantly attached to one another, a storyline that is filled with suspenseful action, passionate moments and a romance for the ages.

The writer has the ability to use sobriquet references to everyday things which causes situations to seem either lighter or more intense than they are. I found that the way the Novel is written is poetic art, the mannerism in which everything is described is nothing short of beautiful. This novel has a lyrical way of describing romance.

The storyline is exhilarating and unpredicted. The further you continue through the book, the more unforeseen events occur. Karen Glista’s attention to detail is captivating. Crime and mystery. Filled with suspense, a tale of common immortal beings but their existence has its own originality to it. The immortality that the characters withhold is not your “normal” assumptions to what immortality is portrayed to be. What I loved and admired about the book is, the writer’s imagination is truly astounding and original.

Chasing The Red Queen, doesn’t only entail imagination, but contains factual details which makes it so much more appealing. The novel is great because it entails acceptance between characters with a lot of differences. I could not find any negative aspects within this novel, based on the fact that everything within it, is what I love and prefer. The Editor did a extraordinary job on this novel.

I rate this novel 4 out of 4 stars, the reason being I loved the storyline. The writer never failed to keep me fascinated, I couldn’t predict the events to come while I was reading and every scene excited me for what is to come next.

I recommend for lovers of science – fiction, crime suspense, admirers of supernatural beings and especially a reader who loves a good tear-jerker romance.

This book is suited for a young adult audience, even though the mature scenes are poetic and not explicit, it may contain explicit scenes that can trigger traumatized victims.
