The Wanting Hearts is a book written by Nicola Jordan the first book of the serious Heartless. The book consisted of five short stories.

Each of the five stories is different, they are unique and talk about wide topics starting from world travel to aliens and vampires.

The first short story named 'The Dream' talks about a person who is in a coma, is very thrilling and got a neat climax. It talks about love, hope and pain along with science fiction elements. The second story is named 'The Unknown' it talks about alien abduction. The narration about the characters in the story is really good. 'You Stupid Vampire' is the third short story in the book. Some of the comedy elements are narrated in this story. Then comes the story named 'Reunion' it had a tragic ending. The last among the short stories is the 'Young Sire' a deeply emotional story that is interesting to read.

The book is really interesting and every story has an elegant ending, it is mostly preferred for readers who are interested in aliens or vampires.

The book contains grammatical errors. In the fourth paragraph of the first chapter in the first story, it is written as "Her parents we major druggies, ".The editing of the book was not perfect and I would say an average rating for the editing of the book.

I like the stories in the book and I would prefer the book to those who love science fiction.I will give a 3 out of 4 rating for this book.
