In the concept of time travel, we believe in the butterfly effect, how a wing-flapping could damage the future, dramatically. The author, Tayma Tameem, starts The Mirrored Worlds from the butterfly’s point of view.
A universe, where two worlds existed separated by a mere mirror, landed the Gift, providing magic to solely one world. A baby was born in the magical world, which caused disasters and imbalance in nature. Lila, a magical human that lives a simple life, gets caught up in the consequences. She joins Battleaxe, a man who saw the world’s worst terrors, and Graute, a sneaky man with a lot of connections, to fix the situation.
Hiding from the Federation, a government that abuses power and rages against everyone, the group was sent to eliminate the baby butterfly, restoring balance to the mirrored worlds. The Federation tolerated no magic under its watch.
The author used advanced vocabulary to ensure the plot’s evolution. Although it had A complicated storyline, The Mirrored Worlds flowed smoothly, building up the mystery without creating a boring atmosphere.

The author failed in using detailed description to convey a vivid image that grabs the readers’ attention, highlighting the connection between events. Many plot holes were produced creating confusion at times. The grammar and punctuation throughout the book were weak, which leads me to believe that it wasn’t professionally edited.

Having a superb plot, the book was quite amazing. The author was very creative, which I particularly admire. I would rate this book 3 out of 4 stars yet I would omit points for the redundancy of information provided.

The book contained explicit slightly violent scenes. Hence, readers should take caution. Thrillers fans would enjoy this book best. This book isn’t for the weak-hearted nor non-fiction lovers.
