The novel Rise of the Savior: Acolyte of Truth by Antoine Bonner is a fictional novel. The book revolves around the story of a teenage girl named Amanda together with her friends. As a young girl, she is very passionate about Karate. Amanda has a young sister Called Saira. First, we are introduced to Amanda, a normal teenage girl, who has just finished high school, and she wants to learn karate and follow her dreams. While on the road with his father, they go into an accident. They are taken to the hospital for treatment. The doctor treating his father is called Jamie.

They are both taken to the hospital and Amanda falls into a comma. While in the comma, she receives powers from a deity and she realizes she is the next acolyte of truth. Another deity also possesses the doctor Jamie, and he becomes the acolyte of death. Amanda has a Kundalini whose duty is to train her on how to effectively use her new powers. Jamie has a sickly son, and he is committed to doing anything for his son just like any other parent would do even if it means hurting and killing other people. Amanda makes his mission to stop Jamie and all his destructions but the question is can Jamie be stopped?

What I liked most about the book was the story itself. The story is a unique fantasy story and the author has managed to keep it as interesting as possible. From the rising action of the story to the conflict and falling action, your mind is always engaged, and you want to know what will happen next as a result of a specific action. Antoine Bonner has well introduced us to unfamiliar concepts like the deities; kundalini and acolytes which helped me understand the book well.

The only thing I disliked about the book was the fact that somewhere in the middle I felt somewhat lost. It was like I was just reading another story. Luckily it was just for a little while, and I came to connect the dots.

I would give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. While reading the book, I did not find any spelling or grammatical errors for this reason I say the book was professionally edited. I look forward to reading more books from this author. Beware; there are some of the various profane languages in the book. I would gladly recommend this book to adults and older teenagers who like fantasy and fictional novels.
