If you are looking for a book that intertwines a mixture of mystery, science, and romance, then Timewise by Robert Leet is the book. I have a curious mind, and so it gave me a taste of theoretical possibilities and ideas to think about after reading it.

The story takes us through Ron’s journey from an orphaned teenager to an adult fighting his own battles. I immediately fell for the main protagonist from the beginning to the end. As a teenager, he meets Regina Russo, a physics teacher, during a chess game. He immediately falls for her, but is this love?

Additionally, Ron meets several women in his life, but it was clear from the beginning that Regina was there to stay as she appears several times in his life. Well, other than Regina, Ron also meets Sheila, a mathematics goddess who captures his heart. The duo begins a scientific project that takes readers to a bit of mathematics and science, perfectly intertwined with love and romance.

The story developed at a great pace. In some chapters, it felt like a thriller. For instance, the most thrilling chapter was when the FBI gets involved. Robert Leet takes us through the tactics that Ron uses to avoid the government authorities. All these kept me enthralled and made it even harder to put down the book. The author was very masterful with his choice of words in the book. Additionally, the descriptions and the relatable characters were the definite strengths of the book.

Sadly, mathematics being an integral part of the story was quite challenging for me. I found myself completely lost, and at times, I had to skim because I had no clue what the characters were talking about. Some of these parts were where they were talking about the wave experiments and two-slit experiments. However, after a few chapters, I found the perfect solution: not to focus so much on understanding every detail of these experiments. This worked really well for me. It became easy and enjoyable to read the book.

I rate Timewise by Robert Leet 4 out of 4 stars because not only was it exceptionally well-written, but it was also an enjoyable read. I loved the plot and the characters. The author has perfectly mastered the art of writing. The story felt so real, and the characters were well developed. Immediately I began reading the book; I knew it was going to turn out to be one of the best books I have read so far this year.

I recommend this book to readers who enjoy science fiction. However, anyone can enjoy this book if they don’t mind the complex science. This is because there is just so much to love about the book. I will be sure to look out for other works from this author.
