After what happened in Virko, Galen decided to request an audience with the king to inform him about the state of affairs the city is facing. Thus, they went on a journey to Soulhire, the capital city of Voulhire. They were shocked to see that the city was under attacked. Will Galen and his friends be able to meet the king or will they get themselves into trouble before meeting his majesty?

We are Voulhire: Someone Else's End is the third installment of the We are Voulhire series by Matthew Tysz. Just like the two previous installments, the world of Voulhire has left me with such a great impression. The writing style of Tysz improved and never ceases to amaze me. It took me on another journey inside the world he created. I liked that the author has a clear vision and plan for everyone's character. The misery and trials that each character is going through were thought of carefully.

In this book, I like how the author highlights the role of women in society. It inspires the readers of the book that women can do more and can go beyond the expectations of what society sets. The book also touched on the idea of people who we thought of as friends and family can turn against us. It is a cliché element but it works.

I also like to point out the catchy titles of this series. In the first two books, you somehow get a general idea based on the title, like the first one, A New Arrival Under Great Skies surrounds the idea of Galen, a newcomer in Voulhire. The second one,The Fires of Virko gave you a hint that something is going on in Virko. Finally, Someone Else's End connotes that somebody will die and say goodbye to the series. Before reading this, I was both excited and scared at the same time. I was scared that the character I am rooting for will meet an end soon. I was excited to see what could be the effect of the end of that character on the other characters. Also, the effect on the whole story. I like how this book's title made me think that way.

What I don't like in this book is that how can a mere arrow caused the death of a demon. I don't know why it died when an arrow pierced into his eyes. For me, it is logical that getting hit by a holy weapon can cause its death. I guess there's more to it and I wasn't able to get it. Hopefully, I can encounter an explanation in the next installment.

Overall, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book was written very well. I like the plot of this book and the character developments. It keeps getting better and better. Just like the previous ones, there's a lot of vulgarity and profanity in this book. It also has scenes that are not suitable for young readers, so I suggest that you wait till you're old enough to read this. I am looking forward to the next book. Fair warning, this book is not a stand-alone. You must read the first two so you can have a good grasp of what kind of world you are getting into.
