Review by emidio125 -- The Great Awakening
The Great Awakening by Arthur Seymour is a science fiction book, and the continuation of a previous book entitled "EARTH WON". The story in this book is set ten years after the story from the previous book. And in this story, the same characters are going to dwell with a creature that seeks to annihilate all humans by means of a pandemic disease in order to save the world once again.
Ten years after saving the world from an organization that spread evil to humanity, Seymour, his wife Ruby, the robots Max, Min and Feeniks, Devyn the cat, a mysterious moth, and other allies will now face a strange, man-made, and pandemic disease that put people in a coma. In order to protect themselves and save the world, they will have to dwell with the creator of the disease, a mysterious creature named Satan.
As an introduction, I would like to say that this is the most peculiar fiction book I have ever read. The author did a really great job while developing the characters in the story, the storyline, and so on. It clearly makes this story unique. But still, I think it was strange to see humans using a power that was let from a dead dog to save themselves from demons (Satan). Furthermore, the author was very clear in saying that he started writing the story before the Coronavirus became famous in the world. Nevertheless, the name he gave the pandemic in his history is almost the same as the name Coronavirus.
This is a story that focuses more on conspiracy theories. Since the villain in the story manipulates the most powerful people in the world so that he can control everything and everyone, just as in the theories that are known worldwide about the Illuminates and other organizations. However, the fact that the disease in the story was cured by love left me confused, since the author says he felt called by the world because he started writing a story about a pandemic, and soon after the world was affected by Coronavirus. This means that the author thinks that Coronavirus can be cured by love, and he also thinks that the virus was created by a being not human that aims to annihilate human beings by manipulating the world's most powerful people.
The author also said that he diminished the "QR" codes due to complaints about distraction from the previous book. However, I think they still distract the reading a little bit, and I would advise the author to put all of them on a single page either at the beginning or end of the book. Furthermore, I would like to congratulate the author for the good job he did while editing the book. The book also doesn’t have severe instances of profanity, either offend religions of any kind. Whatever aspect related to religion is related to the fiction itself and for that, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars . I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys fiction or books that talks about conspiracy theories, hidden societies, and so on.
