Wonder, chaos, and courage! Matthew Tysz truly never disappoints his readers. We are Voulhire: Someone Else’s End is the third book of the We Are Voulhire Series. Chaos seemed to follow Galen wherever he goes. From the moment that he had been a refugee, all the stories that have been told were about his wonder and love for the new city he found himself in. Our protagonist always looked out for others. He is the kind of person to warm his heart to everybody and a kind of warrior that stands up for those who are abused. The story has been about his friends and the place that he is beginning to love; but now his past is haunting him. The person he tried to suppress for a time revealed himself with raw anger and strength. Suddenly it is about him, his past, how he came to be, and one more thing it is about him and the Emperor of Lullabies.

Is there more to him than he lets on? How much secret is he keeping to himself about the Lands of the Princes? The city of Voulhire introduced her beauty and wealth to him like a queen in all her splendor. But like a queen whose throne has many enemies, Voulhire is threatened by worms infesting it from within, by swords drawn against it, and by wild animals barring their teeth towards it. Does Galen have what it takes to be a hero for this land he admires the most?

I really love the novel. My favorite character is the general who had been bidding his time for a long time. I will not reveal his name for I am thrilled for other readers out there to discover this really cool character. Tysz had been consistent in showing the temperaments of each of his characters from the first book to this third installment of the series. As the story unfolds, everyone becomes more interesting. The plot is also dynamic. It is not boring, there is always something new to ponder about because there are a few statements made by the characters in the book that apply at least to my reality. What I really liked the most is the way that the novel transitioned from one point of view to another smoothly. It provides ample momentum to the flow of the event which makes me want to read more until I reach the next chapters.

I recommend this book to teenagers, young adults, and fans of the Tolkien series. This work is a hidden gem and it will be a waste not to give it a read. I rate this work four out of four stars because it is well edited, it is very engaging, humorous, emotional, adventurous, and mind stimulating.
