Before I started reading this book; We are Voulhire; someone else’s mind by Matthew Tysz, I took the liberty to carry out some research on the story and what had happened in the first couple of books, since this book is the third book in the ‘We are Voulhire’ series and I have not read them.

The book is set during a medieval age about a place call Voulhire. It includes magic, mages and Kings; the things that make a book medieval. The perspective changes every chapter, I particularly enjoyed Galen's perspective out of the rest as I found it easier to understand his brief story than the rest of the perspectives. The book was short, only 114 pages, yet it had a great style of writing and the way in which the story is told captured my interest.

I recommend you go through the references available on the authors website to really understand the terms. Otherwise, the book may be confusing to some. You’d find yourself wondering what is a ‘nightynight’ and what could it possibly mean in the context it is written in. I also recommend not reading this book assuming that it can be read as a stand-alone novel, because it can’t. It is the third in the series and should be read in order to fully appreciate and understand the story. I believe those who like a good fantasy novel would really appreciate this book.

What I liked about the book the most was that it made me want to read the first two books to see how this third book came by. I would like to find out what actually happened in Voulhire and how the characters were formed. The book, overall was good; it was edited well and was very detailed and descriptive. Unfortunately, there was one thing I disliked, and this was the number of times the perspectives change in the book and how many perspectives are introduced. However, that is my personal opinion, you may like the different point of views so give the book a read!

The rating I gave this book is three out of four stars. It is written well and the editing is exceptional. I gave the book a rating of three, as mentioned I did not enjoy the different perspectives, however, I did enjoy the overall quality of the book. Will definitely give the first two books a read now!
