Review by Elah Villena -- We are Voulhire: Someone Else'...
The enemy is dangerous when near, but it is more threatening when it is hidden. If there will be another term for exciting, it will be We are Voulhire: Someone Else's End. Created by Matthew Tysz, the third book of We are Voulhire series will take you deeper into the conflict of the story as it shows how the enemies of Voulhire make actions.
King Wilhelm is a great leader, but his good intention brings devastating events in his kingdom. Riva Rohavi group are old enemy, and they started making actions that resulted in catastrophic aftermath. Meldorath and his new identity are slowly revealing with his intentions. The Emperor of lullabies is the most terrifying enemy that anyone can have also left a strong warning to the kingdom. Almost all the known enemies are beginning to show their power, but a surprise character makes his name. Galen, Rowan and, Demetrius who are still dealing with their previous experience in Virko are now facing another challenge. Their adventures continue as they witness more terrifying events that will test their friendship.
One of the great things that Tysz is continuing is making his every character important and not just a passing name. He made every mentioned name special by giving them specific roles, and they carried an important impact on the story.
He stays with his narrative technique that makes the flow of the story smooth. His way of describing the events happening are so effective, and that makes the reader feel the intensity arising.
I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. First, I don’t see any grammar errors in the story that can make his reader abstracted. Second, there are no dull moments, and it makes the reader excited on what is happening and what may come next. Lastly, he used different point of views, but he connected every events happened to the characters effectively. The book only losses a star because sometimes he combined two characters in one point of view. He labelled it as Galen point of view, but it suddenly changes to Demetrius without indications, so I got confused.
I highly recommend it to everyone, especially to those who like magic, action, and mystery. This book contains profanity, so proper guidance to our underage reader is advised. Everyone will enjoy this book, the way Tysz illustrates every event happening is so effective that the readers can visualize it vividly. The twist and turns of the story will give you a rollercoaster ride, and the straightforwardness of the author’s words will keep your eye in the book.
