Matthew Tysz does it again in We Are Voulhire: Someone Else's End, which is the third book in the We Are Voulhire series. Matthew Tysz develops the story in a way that makes the reader yearn to know what happens next. He has a unique way of writing that brings out the characters strongly.

In the beginning, we have King Wilhelm who got attacked during the first court proceeding concerning the fate of refugees who streamed into Voulhire. Wilhelm survived the first attack but got eventually killed in one of the subsequent proceedings in another attack organized by the Emperor of the Lullabies. On the other hand, Rowan, Galen, and Demetrius decide to travel to Soulhire. This was an effort to assist Demetrius to learn about the new Eiodi. Soulhire was then attacked by nightynights, which killed King Wilhelm and some people in the court. The death of the king was followed by attacks by the Ravi Rohavi, who were attacking different towns and cities. Demetrius, Rowan, and Galen made it their duty to warn their people back home of the impending danger. With Darius ill-prepared to take the crown, Voulhire is at a bad place with multiple threats, attacks and unstable leadership.

We have an action-packed storyline with twists and surprises from characters which makes it quite an interesting read. The book kicks off to a low start with the author giving us different perspectives of the story from various characters' eyes. The author carefully pieces these different perspectives and brings them together to create perfect harmony. The plot thickens, and the story culminates in an interesting and unexpected ending, in my opinion.

I like how the author took us through the different characters and how unpredictable they can be. It gave me a wide view and a better understanding of the story. On the other hand, I dislike most how the author switches back and forth between second and third persons when narrating. This inconsistency created a sort of confusion for me.

The book is professionally edited. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy science fiction novels. The book would not be suitable for readers under the age of eighteen. This is due to graphic depictions and the use of profane words in some instances. As a result, I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I also recommend that those interested in reading this book should read the previous books in this series for better understanding.

We are Voulhire is a fantasy thriller about a perfect world facing mystical threats from power-hungry people.

I hope to read this third book, I have only started on the first. I found your review to be enjoyable and insightful. Thank you.

Thanks for reviewing. But if you don't like how the narrators switch, you will find the sequels even more confused, especially the 6th book :D.
