“It is a dream and only a dream, now starting to become a nightmare, a horrible nightmare.” Containment Breach is a truly fascinating sci-fi book which tells a unique and phenomenal story. The book is written from the perspective of a reputable scientist who along with his team has been assigned the task to save Planet Earth from the blood-thirsty and savage Creatures. They must do whatever it takes to completely destroy them. Even if, it results in their death. Walt Smithson has a secret and when the military send for him and his team, Smithson tries to do whatever he can to conceal it.

The main thing, which I liked about the book was that Wm. A. Yandell described the Creatures in a very subtle way, slowly building on their description as the story goes on. As well as this, the plot of the story was very innovative, and I must admit Containment Breach has to be one of the best sci-fi books I have ever read! Wm. A. Yandell described every character’s role in the story adequately and he included many twists in the story. The only thing I disliked about the book was that the book had a no-chapter format, which made the start a bit confusing. Nevertheless, this is not a major issue and it cannot take away my love for this book!

It is with regret that I have to rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. The only reason behind this is that there were a few grammatical errors in the book. For example on page 269, it says, ‘I saw as walk back into the lab.’ Without a doubt, this sentence doesn’t make sense as the pronoun ‘I’ is missing. If this book does get professionally edited again then I would definitely award this book with full stars.

I recommend this book to teenagers and adults who enjoy a good science fiction book. Overall, this book was a true page-turner and was easy to comprehend. I wish Wm. A. Yandell all the best for the future!
