Mobius by Garon Whited is book six in Nightlord series. This is a fantasy book with a time travel premise and a vampire as a protagonist.

Eric, King of Karvalen, is the narrator of this book. He needs to stop the end of the world from the supernatural force that is threatening to destroy his kingdom. He will not only travel to different places, but different periods to seek solutions. We follow him from Rethven to Zirafel, Seattle, Houston, Elbe, and Tauta. In the World of Tauta, he spends a lot of time, and there we met some interesting side characters. Vampires, horses, wizards, and zombies, this book has them all. One of the most surprising characters turns out to be his alter ego.

I listen to this book as audio. The narrator did an amazing job with it. Even though this book is a part of the series, I didn’t feel I missed out on not reading the previous book. I loved the writing and the premise of time travel. This is not the typical thing for me, as I dislike most of the books with that storyline. Be aware that the audiobook is 39 hours and 23 minutes long. Now, I don’t mind the length of the book if it is justified. Here, that wasn’t the case. Besides being a vampire, Eric is also a researcher. He spends a lot of his time planning. To me, some of those parts in this book felt redundant. On the other hand, I loved Eric and his sense of humor.

I would rate this book with three out of four stars. It wasn’t a perfect four-star score novel. The author could take many repetitive parts out of it. Eric, as the narrator, goes at this long ramblings, and explanations, that can be boring. I can’t rate it any lower, because the writing was excellent. Even though there were a lot of things resolved, some additional issues were added too. I loved the bittersweet ending. There is room for an interesting sequel.

I think you can read this book as a standalone novel. However, this is also a perfect series to binge read, especially if you have time to spare, and you are a sci-fi aficionado. I would recommend this book to fantasy readers who enjoy detailed world-building. For such a lengthy book, there are only borderline cuss words, and there are none erotic scenes if that is the deciding factor you need to know before reading this book.

As someone that likes fantasy but dislikes elves, I believe I will love this series. If there are any elves I hope they aren't annoying. This sounds like a wonderful read. I'm especially excited about the zombies. Thanks for the review.
