We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is the first book in the series of We Are Voulhire which has two other books. It is a great read with strong characters and a good plot. The introduction to the story that is well brought out making it easier to go through the book.
The story begins in the land of the Princes where there has been a war for a few years and Galen Bray as the main character in the story who manages to escape the land of the princes to inherit property that was left by his great uncle in a town in Voulhire known as Magnum Caelum. He is helped by the uncle’s executor Rowan to settle in.
Then there is Lord Eldus a former judge in Soulhire who is appointed by King Wilhelm to help develop Hillport, a land that had been destroyed by the two former chiefs, General Meldorath who was also a mage and Lord Orlin. With the help of his family Lord Orlin gets to achieve the trust of the people and come up with ways to better their lives. Riva Rohavi, a culture residing in a wasteland north of Voulhire, called the Grayland. They have always had an opposition with the kingdom of Voulhire from time to time attacked to remind them that they still exist. They are against development of the kingdom so when they hear rumors that Hillport is fairing well they attack. Will Lord Orlin be able to make it out? Who gave them the information?
I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars because of the amazing setting that the story has to it. There were no errors as I read the book. This was out of my normal genres but it was an interesting read. It also comes up with the magic into the story which makes it more fun. Being the first book, it is a great introduction to the characters and the story making one to want to read the rest of the series.
I recommend this book to all the people that are interested in a well told story and one that makes you feel like you were part of it. It falls into fictional books with some action and adventure. Has no inappropriate so it is meant for everyone that can read and follow through a story.

I have read several reviews on this entire series. I like the author and his work. I hope to be reading this series at some point. Thanks for the honest review.
