Even though I don't like Sci-fi/Fantasy, I am still quite aware of who Ron Hubbard is and how much he done for the genre, because my daughter adores him and read everything ever written by the author. In her opinion, he is a classic, and I am sure, she will be glad to reread the book again. Congratulations with BOTD!

Thank you for your review. I sampled the book. The talented author of science fiction books, not so much for making up a 'religion.' This book is about Jonnie, a human, being caught up by aliens. It looks like a fun book for sci-fi readers.

The level of word-building and the attention to scientific detail presented by Hubbard are some of the strongest points of this book. Tyler is the main character who is faced with the challenge of keeping the Psycho and their people under control. His journey is of growth, courage, and determination despite the odds.

Your review makes me want to add this to my list and I usually do not read a lot of science fiction books. Thank you for your review.

Thank you for this thorough and engaging review of Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000! Your analysis provides a great balance of discussing the book’s strengths, like its fast-paced plot and multi-layered characters, while also noting areas where it might fall short, such as the lack of diverse characters. I appreciate the mention of the scientific jargon not being overwhelming, as that’s something I often worry about in hard science fiction. It’s also interesting to hear that, despite its length, the book keeps readers hooked with surprises and twists.

I was particularly intrigued by your description of the Psychlos and the mining operation spanning 16 universes—that sounds like an epic setup for a classic sci-fi adventure. Also, your note about the extras, like the introduction, interview, and song lyrics, makes this edition sound like a treasure trove for fans. It’s good to know that Scientology isn’t part of the plot, as that could be a concern for some readers.

Your recommendation for young adults is helpful, too, especially since there’s no gore or explicit content. This sounds like a must-read for anyone who loves a hero-driven adventure packed with sci-fi technology. Thanks again for the detailed insights—this review has definitely piqued my interest in Battlefield Earth!

"Battlefield Earth" by L. Ron Hubbard is a science-fiction classic. The protagonist of the book is Jonnie Goodboy Tyler who was born in Colorado. At the time of his birth, people were already decimated by the alien race of Psychlos.

Great review! I admire you for taking on a 1000-page book to review. I don't know if I can do it. It would really have to hold my interest, and unfortunately, Sci-fi doesn't. For those like you, who love it, great!

'Official Review: Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000' by L. Ron Hubbard is informative and illustrative. it gives an idea of the reading content. This is the story of Johnnie Goodboy Tyler, born in Colorado nearly 1000 years after the people of Earth had been annihilated by an alien race called Psychlos. It concerns heroes, adventure, aliens, and science-fiction technology. Also, the story contains strong female characters. It was great to learn that the book is also suitable for readers not into scientific fact and fiction details!
