Our Pastor has gone mad again is an inside look into Pastor Job’s life, his family and his Ministry. Through his Sunday sermons and various people who come to him for help, he Ministers to the reader on various topics, and quotes scripture that is complimentary to the advice he gives.

Even as he gives advice, there are instances where pastor encourages those who go to him to look within themselves for answers, as often people already know the right thing to do.

This is an uplifting motivational book filled with sermons that will uplift your mood and encourage you to move forward in your journey, whatever it may be. Pastor Job’s life is not without problems, yet he is relentless in his message of hope, and his perseverance pays off in his life and in the lives of those who seek his help.

This book will appeal to devout Christians, and to anyone curious about the inner workings of a small Ministry, what challenges they encounter, and the small victories that make it worthwhile. It is also a good read for those intending to become pastors as it will offer good insight into the daily life of a pastor.

The pastor makes a point of separating himself from the situation whenever he is approached for help by someone who is not a practicing Christian. He reserves his judgment and intercedes for them anyway; he does not let his self righteousness hinder people from receiving the message of Christ.

So, has he truly gone mad? His outward expression of faith in Christ, has led some to believe that he has gone mad, only after walking a mile in his shoes, can the reader determine whether or not the pastor is mad. There is a comparison drawn between the life of a believer and that of a non believer, but Pastor Job does not let such comparisons hinder his joy, he will not be brought down by the faithlessness of others.

As the church does not exist in a vacuum, this book also addresses various political issues and serves to show us how the political environment affects the life of a spiritual person, and the Ministry in General.

I give this book 3 out of 4. The charity work conducted by the church is only mentioned in passing, and while the pastor may already have enough on his plate to deal with, it would have been interesting to find out what other members of his Ministry think about working in the Church and any constraints they may be facing.
