What a real-life drama written by Charlie Sheldon! This book is a piece of fiction drama which created a very nice environment so, that readers want something more. The plot of the story is Olympic Peninsula wilderness in Washington State.
The story is all about an old man, Tom staying in North America are backpacking for a camping tour through Olympic National Park with his Native American friend William and William's daughter Myra. This tour was not just an ordinary tour, Tom wants to find the place where his Grandfather died during his child hood.
Once they about to start, Tom’s earlier wife comes to his doorstep and his own teenage granddaughter Sarah. Tom didn’t even know about Sarah’s existence because Sarah was staying with his earlier wife. Sarah is now a 13 years old girl who doesn’t want to stay her grandmother but wants to stay with her grandfather, Tom.
Here, author Sheldon, created a dramatic moment as this campaign was a dream for Tom and he planned it for long time. So, Tom decided to take Sarah too for this adventure campaign and teach her some lesions about life. Although Sarah doesn’t want to go with them, she told her decision. However, Tom and William try to convince her and told her this trip can help them to know each other so that they can trust each other well. Sarah, a 13-year-old girl already struggled lot in her life initially hesitate to go with this grandfather but finally they started. During their unwillingly journey so many times she tried to run away and Myra caught her every time. But once, Sarah disappeared for 8 days after having drawn a picture of a bear. Tom & William tried to find her and they were feeling guilty for forcing Sarah to take part of this trip. But, finally, Tom & William found her in a very badly way. She was not completely unconscious but not full conscious also. Her head was bent and nose was bloody and she was mumbled some words. Tom and William cleaned her dirty nose & head. After getting full conscious Sarah tells them about what happened with her in all those missing days.
Tom doesn’t believe Sarah’s story, he was thinking that this is very impossible to happen. Within only 8 days how it can be possible to happen all those phenomenon as the story Sarah was telling about an ancient native American story.
Author written this story very well. Every reader will be curious to know what’s going on next. I liked this story very much.
