Review of Editorial License
Editorial License is a deep, incredible, and hopeful book about a successful writer who is about to launch his newest book when tragedy strikes his life, and he is now showing signs of amnesia, where he recalls almost nothing about what really happened. In the process, the writer also has to deal with the fact that his family is gone and he has to find the strength to overcome this incident and, perhaps, find joy and peace in his new reality.
I absolutely loved this book. I had never read a book by E.W. Johnson M.D., but I can now understand the brilliant professional he might be and what an incredible writer he is. The book is raw, profound, and full of hope, despite the uncertainty portrayed in this book. To lose your family and have to deal with a neurological disorder is a complete nightmare, a hell on earth. However, finding hope in friendships and in the daily routines can be such a powerful tool, and one I must say was described perfectly in this book.
However, what I loved the most were the characters and their depth. Their personalities, fears, hopes, and dreams are described with such detail that it is impossible not to connect with everyone, not just our incredible and tough protagonist. There are obviously some harsh topics and elements in this book, such as diseases and grief, but overall, I do believe it can be a hopeful and somehow light book, mainly due to the writing style of the author and the structure of the book.
With that being said, I cannot point out a single downside in this book. The editing is perfect, as I didn’t find any errors, and the book deserves 5 out of 5 stars. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in stories of overcoming tragedies and finding hope in a new life after disaster. Besides all of these amazing compliments I can give to the book, I can most certainly affirm this will not be my last read of this incredible author’s books.

For example, if you write a news article about a football match, you can use a photo with an editorial license to show what happened. But if you want to use that photo in an advertisement or on a poster to sell tickets, that is not allowed. Editorial content often has pictures of famous people, logos, buildings, or events. The people in those pictures have not given permission for their face or brand to be used in ads. So, the company that owns the photo says it can only be used in an “editorial” way.
Many websites like Shutterstock, Getty Images, and others offer editorial images, but they clearly say: "Editorial Use Only." If you use those images in the wrong way, such as in an ad or for business, you could get into legal trouble. That means the person or company in the photo might complain or ask you to pay money for using it the wrong way.
In short, an editorial license is a good choice for students, teachers, bloggers, and journalists who are making something to inform or teach others. It helps make your writing or videos more interesting and real. But always remember: do not use editorial content to sell or promote anything. It’s a useful license, but you must follow the rules to stay safe.
