The author did well to convey the emotion needed.
I personally adore how much the dogs are featured! I have four dogs and I absolutely love them all. They played an important part and I liked how they were so connected to the characters. And there was a small backstory involving one of them as well. Very well done on the authors part.
The story was fairly pleasant to read. Especially toward the second half of the book; it became more exciting. The beginning of the book honestly was a little bit of a bore. Hard to work through.

There were not very many mistakes; so well done on the author’s part.
It was apparant that the author knows a lot about orcas; it goes into detail and anyone who knows me knows I love details; so I appreciate the author’s research.

Something I picked up on was some of the age differences didn’t match up; it was a little bit confusing.

The ending couple of chapters was (in my opinion) the best part; by that time the author had a very good grasp on the storyline.
I appreciated that the author did not leave any holes in the story; many authors do leave much to be desired. I did love the way the story unfolded; honesly I think it’s a book to be proud of. Many people will enjoy reading it.

It was interesting how the author expressed the measure of friendship here. And the patience needed in teaching one of the characters how to live the way all the rest did. The author is good at saying what is needed to be said; and I applaud the vocabulary of the author. Another thing I liked was how well the charaters complimented each other; they helped open up the story to a more full extent.

I give it a 2 out of 4 stars because it was an enjoyable story. And 3 out of 5 because I thought it had a strong storyline.
