'Cross Intents' by S. R. Wells is a series of different connecting books. The first book in the series, 'The Birth,' introduced the events before and during the birth of Jesus Christ and furnished the reader with the introduction of the three realms and the workings of these realms. The second book, 'The Baptism,' is a continuation of what happened before the baptism of Jesus by John and the contributions of all the realms to its actualization through their actions and inactions. The third book, 'The Battle,' which is the core focus of this review, extensively explains the battles that ensued during Jesus's ministry on earth and the involvement of the three realms in all of it.

For reference, I will explicitly explain the core concept of Wells' book. Cross Intents is a fictional narration that focuses on the life and journey of Jesus on earth. It describes the earthly ministry of Jesus uniquely, projecting the three realms to the reader: the Physical, the Middle, and the King's realms. The humans inhabit the physical realm; the Middle realm is inhabited by spirits who are solely focused on the commands of their masters, and the King's realm is known as where the King dwells.

'The Battle' explains the difficulties that Jesus and other disciples faced during their ministry on earth and how the servant of the King was always available to their help; it also shows the effort of the demons to stop those helps, which produces severe fights. The question remains: Who will win the battle? You can find out from the book.

The book has a complex plot with many characters and numerous actions. Characters like Zaben, Timrok, Jenli, and Elric were important soldiers for the King's army against the leaders of the demons. I enjoyed the book; its story was creative and expository. The editing is flawless. The writing style is descriptive. The diction is simple and coherent. The narrative style is the positive aspect; though fiction, it reflects on biblical happenings. I do not dislike the book, and I could not find any negative aspects. I will rate the book 5 out of 5 stars. The reasons for the rating are the enriching message, the diction, and the writing style of the book. I recommend the book to Christians.

This is a well-written review! I appreciate how you broke down the three realms—it really helped clarify the book’s structure. I also read Cross Intents and found the way it combined biblical events with a fictional, spiritual battle both creative and engaging. The characters like Zaben and Timrok really added depth to the narrative. It’s great to see how the author managed to stay true to the essence of Jesus’s ministry while introducing a fresh, imaginative perspective.
