The book “Cross-intents“ by Scott well explores the birth of Jesus (who is referred to as “King" in the book) into the world. It uses biblical and historical knowledge to explain what happened that led to his birth and how it happened.

The book explains that naturally there are two realms: the physical realm, where the human beings live, and the middle realm, where the angels and demons live. So God decides to enter the physical realm in order to save his beloved people who have gone astray. He chooses to enter as a human being born of a virgin and suffer as humans do. For him to enter without being noticed by the demons, he asks the angels to prepare and arrange everything for his birth so that it will go unnoticed. The angels work in unity, and at last the king is born unnoticed.

I like how the author brings out God's greatness in the book. He even goes into detail to explain how God is, as we imagine him to be. He also brings out how God loves human beings such that He's willing to be like them and share their experience. He also provides comfort to us by explaining how God is always watching us through his angels, who are always with us even when we don't see him.

The book's writing style is so remarkable because it's easy to follow. I liked how the author goes into detail about what happened by giving the angels and demons names. Although some were not from the Bible, at least readers can relate. The book is professionally edited, so I rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

This is a great book that I highly recommend to Christians or anyone wanting to know how the birth of Jesus came to be or anyone who debates the accounts of Jesus's birth.
