Jennifer Collins’ “Wonders in the Waves” is a touching story based on Larissa, a grieving woman who has experienced severe grief and pain due to her daughter’s disappearance. The route to recovery for Larissa commences with her sessions with Marie, an empathetic therapist who helps her overcome the overwhelming suffering. These conversations, while being highly loaded emotionally, give Larissa the strength that she needs when confronting his past issues and his fears, especially for Eric. Beautifully, this book shows us how Larissa tries to balance her grief and duties as well as her longing to see Everett again.

For Eric, this revelation brings some light at the end of the tunnel as he forms a new relationship with his dad. They help in tracing Everett and finding any leads so they can piece together what happened before he was adopted. This narrative displays both Larrisa’s determination, consisting of never giving up until she finds his son, against fighting deep emotions that come from memories of Emma and her protective instincts towards Eric.

Larissa’s journey reaches its climax, bringing forth heartbreaking truths about Everett’s adoption process. The emotional reunion between Larrisa and Everett proves that even though we all face challenges in our lives, the human spirit is strong enough to withstand anything.

The book deserves to be rated 5 out of 5 stars because it has captivating storytelling and is highly emotional. It is an uplifting book that explores grief, healing, and the complexities of family bonds throughout.

If you are a lover of deeply emotive stories with well-developed characters that talk about themes like grief, healing, or family bond strength, then this novel should be your best choice. It is excellently edited with no grammatical errors, and I have no dislike for it in any way. The author did a good job on this book.
