In "The Three Sisters: The Progeny of Daedalus," Jeffrey MacLeod ushers us into the second chapter of the "Three Sisters" saga. This time, the focus shifts from the curse itself to the quest for redemption. Ilia, Danae, and Leda, burdened by their past lives, are thrust into a thrilling adventure with their father by their side.

The novel picks up where the first book left off. The sisters, reincarnated in the modern world, grapple with the weight of their Olympian-level beauty and the horrifying truth of their curse. But a glimmer of hope emerges – a chance to break free from the cycle of suffering. Their quest takes them across breathtaking historical sites, from the ruins of ancient Rome and Pompeii to the legendary Palace of King Minos in Crete.

MacLeod's strength lies in weaving together the contemporary world with the rich tapestry of Greek and Roman mythology. The story delves deeper into the lives of the sisters, showcasing their individual personalities and the unbreakable bond they share. Their journey becomes not just a quest for redemption, but a testament to the power of sisterhood.

A significant focus in "The Progeny of Daedalus" is the exploration of Daedalus' legacy. The sisters, being his descendants, become central to uncovering a hidden invention of the famed inventor. This adds a layer of intrigue and mystery, sending them on a perilous exploration through ancient structures and forgotten secrets.

However, the novel isn't without its potential drawbacks. The fast-paced adventure, while exciting, might leave some readers wanting a deeper exploration of the characters' emotional struggles. Additionally, the reliance on familiarity with Greek and Roman myths might pose a challenge for those unfamiliar with the source material.

Despite these minor points, "The Progeny of Daedalus" delivers a captivating adventure. It's a perfect read for fans of mythology-infused historical fiction who enjoy a dash of mystery and a strong emphasis on family bonds. This Book deserves 5 out of 5 stars owing to family unity, secret explorations and mysterious hystorical themes! The book is edited ok.
