Review of Entanglement - Quantum and Otherwise
Entanglement-Quantum and Otherwise by John K Danenbarger is a sci-fi novel. The story begins in 2044 with Geena, then points back to her mom, Beth in 1984, and goes on till 2070. There are 8 characters: Beth and her better half, Kevin, their two kids, and the people around them. It spans 60 years with Joe Tink and Beth Sturgess meeting in a unique encounter. At the time, Beth, a sixteen-year-old girl was working as a prostitute. Beth has left her home, and with Joe's help, she finds her partner, Kevin Nuss, a reckless cop with loose morals. Kevin finds the act of murder thrilling as he struggles with his oppressive past due to his alcoholic father. As Beth and Kevin continue to build a life over the years, Joe finds love in Professor Martin Case, who explores the peculiarity of entanglement and how two particles can be directly connected even across vast distances. The concept of entanglement is deeply rooted in the plot, as Geena, Beth's daughter, searches for answers from her family's past in 2044.

Entanglement-Quantum and Otherwise is an interesting novel, I enjoyed the characters in the book. Each one had a unique story, and I found them all interesting. Geena was one of my favorites, I could relate to her and her conversations with Davis. Another character I liked was Joe. He interacted with almost everyone in the book, except maybe Ellen, and I was invested in his storyline.
The author did great in this sci-fi novel because no typography or grammatical errors were noticed. Also, the characters slowly evolve showing a lot of forethought and planning, which is the writer's strength. However, it can be tricky to jump from one character to another. I had difficulty jumping from one character to another while reading the book. To keep track, I made a list of all the chapters and wrote a summary at the end of each chapter to remember who was who and how they were related. It was sometimes challenging to understand the time lapse from one chapter to the next and the transition from one situation to another. Some diagrams would have assisted with being an essential part of the book or even have that on the cover to have the readers sort out diagram means with lines drawn to understand how they relate.
I rate the book 3 out of 5 stars. The novel will be much better if the plot is organized in an interesting way, making the whole story easy and understandable while reading.
I recommend this book to individuals who like complex stories. I recommend this book to sci-fi buffs and people interested in dark mysteries, drama, and dysfunctional tales.
