Review of ANGELA'S REDEMPTION
The book, Angela’s Redemption, is the second edition of the book titled From Evil’s Dark Abyss into Glory’s Light by King Hambone (aka Augustus H. Green, Jr.). The book is a very intriguing and compelling detective novel. The victim’s name is Gretchen Olsen, and she was a widely esteemed philanthropist who met her grim demise within the confines of her residence. As the investigators dig deeper into her murder, they uncover connections to other recent homicides in the same town. This suggests that there is a serial killer on the loose who is targeting elite figures within the city.
Overall, I thought the book had an interesting plotline, as well as interesting characters within the story. I thought that the author did a great job of writing the characters well, and in a way that the reader could relate to their personalities, interests, and motives. I also thought that the author wrote each of the murder scenes very well, and he included extremely meticulous details in each setting that were disturbing but also insanely interesting. I thought that the grim crimes depicted in the book were fascinating to read about, and held my attention for the entire book.
The only thing that I did not like about the book was how the titles of each chapter gave away the main events of each of the chapters. I usually do not mind books that give each chapter a name because it can help with foreshadowing the next part of a story. However, many of the chapters’ names gave away major twists in the story. For example, there was a chapter called “Two More Murders”, and another called “Killers’ Quandary Resolved”. These two chapters gave away large plot twists before the chapters even began. Some readers may like a hint of what is to come, but I like to be surprised and try to guess for myself.
I would rate this book four out of five stars for all the reasons I stated above. I thought the story line was quite interesting, but I cannot give it a perfect score due to my dislike of the spoiled chapters. I also did not find any grammatical errors or typos within the book. This is a testament to the exceptional editing that was completed to it.
I would recommend this book to any readers who are interested in murder mystery novels.
