ANGELA'S REDEMPTION by King Hambone is a riveting detective novel that delves into the unsettling murder of philanthropist Gretchen Olsen. As the local law enforcement grapples with an unsolved case, the perpetrators remain shrouded in anonymity, having initially intended to hold Gretchen hostage before resorting to poisoning and shooting her. Meanwhile, Gretchen's husband, Richard Olsen, finds himself entangled in a perilous web spun by the murderers, who demand a hefty ransom of $5 million in exchange for a dark secret from Gretchen's past. As the investigation unfolds, the perpetrators meticulously erase traces of their involvement, complicating the authorities' efforts to apprehend them.

Hambone skillfully guides readers through the complexities of the murder inquiry, weaving a captivating narrative filled with labyrinthine twists and turns. The storyline is meticulously crafted, blending elements of mystery, deceit, and concealed personal histories to keep readers on the edge of their seats until the very end. Through the character of Paula, an unwaveringly dedicated investigator and attorney rooted in profound Christian beliefs, the author explores themes of emotional intelligence, forgiveness, and mercy amidst the chaos of the investigation. Paula's portrayal exemplifies integrity and professionalism, serving as a beacon of strength and resilience throughout the narrative.

The novel's well-developed characters, intricate plot, and unexpected revelations contribute to its overall appeal, keeping readers engaged and invested in the unfolding events. Furthermore, Hambone's adept storytelling and commendable editing ensure a seamless reading experience devoid of any notable flaws.

There was absolutely nothing to hate about this book. I enjoyed every bit of it, and I believe it deserves a perfect rating. That being said, I am rating it 5 out of 5 stars. It is important to note that this book has just been rebranded, as some readers might only be familiar with the old title.

In conclusion, this book earns my highest praise as a compelling and thoroughly enjoyable detective novel. With its gripping plot, well-crafted characters, and enthralling sense of mystery, it is sure to captivate fans of the genre. I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone seeking a thrilling and thought-provoking read.
