“The Atlantis Cure” written by Pierce Roberts, sets the scene in a looming, apocalyptic world: a deadly virus is spreading in the United States and the rest of the world.
A cure must be found, or the end of human civilization is unavoidable.
Time is of the essence. Without a cure, civilization as we know it will cease to exist.

A group of people, brought together by science and fate, sets out on this mission precisely: to find a cure. Each character you meet brings a unique set of skills, expertise, and motives.

It is good versus evil. With the help of ancient, native spirits, guidance is available and with it a glimpse of hope.
The plot is well thought through and takes the reader on a hectic journey to many continents and countries, with many unexpected twists and turns.

At times it is a bit hard to keep up with the many characters and changes of locations. Almost every chapter is playing out in a different location. Too many characters and names are described until it becomes clearer who the main players are. The story of an ancient, engraved stone plate that may have the answer to a cure, may not seem like a new idea.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars. 4 stars are well deserved because the author keeps it interesting and thrilling to the very last page. The reader is left with wonder, hope and thought-provoking materials surrounding the world’s current issues like the environment, the current political climate, and the essence of humankind.
It also shows that as a veterinarian, Mr. Pierce loves animals and science.
Animals appear in many of the chapters and historical elements and scientific facts are well-researched.
The author successfully weaves fiction and modern science into an almost realistic adventure.
