Short Poems, Long Tales by Rashid Osmani is a book filled with poems. Although the verses are short, their messages resonate with exceptional clarity. These poems not only resonate with a broad and diverse audience, but they also unveil their profound meanings with impressive ease. They adapt the process of understanding, making them relevant to the twenty-first century and allowing the younger generation to develop a better understanding.

I usually don't read poetry because I sometimes find myself confused while trying to understand it. However, diving into this book made me realize something in the first few pages: the verses are short and straightforward, which makes them easier to understand. Overall, reading the book felt less like a classroom activity and more like an enjoyable reading experience.

Furthermore, Short Poems, Long Tales contains poems for every group, making it very inclusive. In my experience, books often don't cater to groups that don't conform to society's expectations of what is "acceptable." It's easy to discriminate against or judge people with differences, and the poet does an excellent job of condemning those who reject them.

Additionally, the book contains dark and light humor in its poetry, and reading both types made me chuckle with appreciation. It's challenging to find poetry that conveys deep emotions but is also the right kind of sarcastic when needed. My favorite poem is, ironically, "Not Schindler's List." I also adored "Without You by My Side." The emotions in that poem rang loud and clear.

I didn't find anything that dampened my reading experience. Each set of poetry was fulfilling and enjoyable, and I've bookmarked several to revisit when I want a good laugh or when I want to ponder. I also didn't come across any notable typos or errors. Therefore, I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I would recommend this book to poetry lovers who appreciate sophistication alongside an ease of comprehension.
