This book was very action-packed, and I couldn't put it down. Pat DeVaney did a wonderful job. This is a fun, fast-paced adventure, with great detail and imagery. The story is very engaging, funny, and loaded with great characters. This book had me smiling and laughing. It also shook me. Some of my favorite books are the ones that go in a different direction than I think they will go. The main character Conor Caldemeyer had me on my toes. The book also came with multiple pictures, which helped me understand the scenery. This is the first time I have read a book by Pat DeVaney but it sure won’t be my last.

I would rate this book five out of five stars. There was a lot of Irish dialogue, which made it hard for me to read. I couldn't tell if there were any spelling errors because of the Irish dialogue. I still give it a five-star rating despite the issue, because I love a book with a challenge. After re-reading some of the Irish dialogue it became easier to understand. After a couple of chapters, I even learned to love it. The dialogue helped set the tone and increase my excitement towards the book.

High Crime Against the Crown, is a book I will be reading again. It sure was a page-turner and was filled with lots of twists and turns. The characters are jaw dropping and also relatable in certain circumstances. If you're looking for a book you will never forget, you're going to want to read this book. Pat DeVaney did a great job on this book, and I can't wait to read more from him. The problem I have now with the book is that I have to wait for the sequel. I need to know what happens next!
