Review of Man Mission
[Following is a volunteer review of "Man Mission" by Eytan Uliel.]
The amusing and endearing book Man Mission by Eytan Uliel chronicles the amazing adventure of four friends who go on an annual lads' trip together. They set out to discover new places, partake in outdoor sports, and experience local cuisines, motivated by a collegiate dream. An exhilarating walk across New Zealand's Harper's Pass serves as the beginning of their adventures, but things take a surprising turn when the author, Eytan, finds himself in a dangerous position involving armed drug dealers. Despite giving them a little bit of a panic at first, this encounter sparks a friendship that lasts 15 years and a string of unforgettable travel experiences. Along the way, the friends learn more about one another and themselves by pushing outside of their comfort zones and having in-depth philosophical discussions. They assist each other along the road by sharing their triumphs, apprehensions, and goals.
