I recently had the pleasure of reading the book Man Mission by Eytan Uliel. In the book, we follow the journey of the narrator and his three friends, Sam, Daniel, and Alec, during and after college. They make a pact that every year they will fly off to an exotic location for a week of crazy adventure.

Throughout the book, we follow their journey into different parts of the world over a span of fifteen years. We get to see them go through good and bad times together. Whenever one of them had a financial or relationship problem, they all stood with him without any judgment. We witness the challenges they face in their corporate jobs and in their relationships and marriages. Some of the themes explored in this book are friendship, marriage, education, endurance, and self-discovery. The novel is presented from a first-person point of view.

What I liked most about this book was the author’s storytelling abilities. The story is very engaging. Once I started reading it, I did not feel like putting it down. It is written in a simple language that is easy to understand. Another thing I liked about it is that all the characters are well-developed. Furthermore, I liked the various quotes presented before each chapter.

The only thing I did not like in this book was the restrictions that the men imposed on themselves so that they could be allowed by their wives to go on the journey to Australia. I felt that the restrictions were not fair.

I gladly give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. This is because it was professionally edited; hence, I did not find any spelling or grammatical errors. Beware; there is the use of profane language. I would recommend this book to all adult men. I look forward to reading more books from Eytan Uliel.
