The Surreal Adventures of Anthony Zen is a pretty imaginative and eye-opening novel. I really liked the way it blends science-fiction, surrealism, and fantasy to create an unforgettable story. This book involved extensive humor, twisting- unexpected- events, and requires the reader to visualize many events. What I liked about this book is its need for imagination and creativity, as it has many surreal and fictional scenarios. I would recommend this book to a gifted 6-year-old or to a young adult looking to expand their imagination and have fun along the way. The author is extremely talented for writing this, and I would definitely read another book by her. The author's style is highly descriptive and poetic, with a vivid style that brings each world and character to life in bright detail. The novel challenges the reader to question their own beliefs and assumptions about reality and the nature of existence the way Zen did in the story. The novel's greatest strength lies in its ability to transport the reader to a series of bizarre events, each with its own unique challenges and insights. Through his encounters with a wide range of colorful and often bizarre characters, Anthony is forced to confront his own limitations and insecurities, ultimately resulting in his journey with a newfound sense of purpose and direction. Through his different transformations and encounters in many worlds, Zen's interpretation and point of view of the world changes and evolves as he encounters different events. This can be used for many readers to relate with their real life and story, as people often face changes such as relocation that shape their believes. I loved the uniqueness of the writers style and way of thinking as it doesn't follow you usual story telling skills which can get boring. So the writer did a great job at keeping the readers engaged. Overall, this book really hits the nail on the head and expresses how words can be translated into colorful and vivid images. I give this a 5/5 for the description, demand of imagination, humor, and vividness of the events. Great job author!
