Masked intent by Kimberly Greer is a romance novel, that tells the story of Alexa and Mateo. Two people who lost faith in love, but when they meet each other they slowly start to believe in love once again. Alexa and Mateo have had insane chemistry from the first day they met, and it's obvious that they like each other. But Alexa after her divorce can't seem to fathom trusting herself to give her heart to someone, only to be toyed with once again. Similarly, Mateo haunted by his past can't seem to let his walls down. Causing a rift between them, but as it seems to come to matters of the heart one tends to forgive and forget. But what will they do when the past comes to haunt them once again, will they stay together or will they break up. But that is not just, what the writer wants to tell us. The writer makes a point in showcasing how love is surely really amazing, but after love, you need to see if the other person will be there through the good and the bad times. If you want to further know what happens you'll have to read it for yourself.

The thing I loved about this novel, was how well-written the characters were. Even though the novel was based on Alexa and Mateo's story, and the other characters did not have as much time as I would have liked, you can see how every character had a meaning and a purpose, and how the writer has carefully put together each character. And I also personally, loved the twists and turns in the novel showcasing what brilliant work the author has done writing it. With the maturity, of her writing oozing out at every turn.

The negative aspect for me, was the multiple points of view. Even though I usually love multiple points of view. In this case, I did not. With the point of view changing after a few paragraphs in a single chapter. Which made me lose focus.

I would recommend, this book to people, who love a good romance and mystery. It also contains sexual content so I would recommend people of a certain age, to read this novel.

I rate this book a 4 out of 5 as it contained some grammatical errors, and it got boring for me at some point. As it was too slow-paced for me. But for people who like to read slow-paced novels with intriguing storylines and mature stories, it is just what you guys were waiting for.
