Review of JTs World
If money could buy love, then rich people would have no problem finding it. To find love is one thing, but to navigate through it is another entirely. JT's World by E. Alan Fleischauer centers on a man and his journey in the search for peace and love.
Unlucky in love, John Thurgood Thomas, also known as JT for short, is the owner of a luxurious theme park with bars and motels included. At the grand opening of this theme park, someone is murdered. The murder set JT on course to take a vacation to clear his mind of these recent deaths. On his journey, he would go on to meet Chip Heller, a bounty hunter. This new-found friend would lead JT on some adventures, setting him on course to meet Jessica, and they would both fall in love. Would JT be able to protect Jessica from the dangers lurking around him? This book holds the answer to this question.
I enjoyed the originality of this book so much. Being able to tell a story with different themes proves that the author is a versatile writer. I thought I was reading a murder mystery book, but as I read on, the author skillfully inculcated the themes of bounty hunting, love, and romance. To do this and to do it in such a way that doesn't ruin the plot is just genius, and so I must commend the author for this.
This story started on a high note, but as I settled in and got to know the characters and locations, I experienced a brief lull, and it got me thinking about where the plot was going. Yes, the suspense was good, but I felt the only negative thing about this book was the lack of activity in the middle pages. It was like the plot was paused, and the author was writing about things I didn't feel were necessary to tell the story.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. Although I stated what I didn't like about the book, I feel it's not enough to deprive this book of a star. Even though the plot got slow towards the middle pages, it picked up the pace again, and the switch in themes made the book interesting to finish. I found no errors in this book, which indicates it was well-edited. I recommend this book to people who have an affinity for western culture and those who love reading books with a romantic theme.
