Randy the irresistible by S M Goodier is a book which depicts the story of a young man in the early stage of his life. Randy lost his mom at a very young age and although he grew up without her, he could always rely on his father(John Love), his father's friend (Michael Goddard) and his siblings (Harriet and James Love) who were always there to counsel him. Although both of his siblings were established and successful in their careers, the same could not be said for Randy as he decided to abandon his education and take up various part time jobs of which he did not last very long in as he was always looking for a way to work less and get paid more. Randy, although confident a good salesperson and a ladies man, he was an immature, petty, stingy fellow who was almost always looking for a way to rip people off, most often, he made irresponsible decisions which lead to problems like financial instability and accommodation issues. Do you think he'll learn to acknowledge and take responsibility for his mistakes? Quickly get yourself a copy of the book and find out.

I love that the story is somewhat realistic in the sense that it talks about what some people experience at some point in their lives and I believe it teaches a lesson which young adults can learn from. The Index of British Terminology and Slang provided by the author at the end of the book was really thoughtful as it will help readers who are not English understand the story better.

Getting caught up in the story, I was quite surprised when it came to an abrupt end with questions left unanswered and problems unsolved, this was the only unpleasant experience I had while reading the book.

The book was well edited and I could not find any typographical errors while reading it. I absolutely love how the author paid attention to small details in some parts of the story and because I couldn't predict Randy's next move or what sort of trouble he would get himself into, I kept on reading to satisfy my curiosity, I enjoyed reading the book therefore I rate it 5 out of 5.

I recommend this book for people who enjoy light humor books for relaxed reading, however, I don't recommend it for young readers as it contains profane language and erotic scenes.
