Review of JTs World
Following three gruesome murders at the grand opening of JT's World, John Thurgood Thomas (JT Thomas) did not know that his life and that of Madeline were still in danger. JT's World was a mall owned by JT Thomas, Madeline, and other stakeholders, and Madeline was JT Thomas's adopted daughter and sole heiress. Marcus Payne was Madeline's real father. However, Madeline was on the run from him. He had killed Madeline's mother, Annabelle, and Madeline's testimony in court put him in jail. That was the cause of his rage toward Madeline and the reason he wanted to kill her. He also wanted her estate, but he couldn't claim it if both JT Thomas and Madeline were alive.
At the mall, Marcus mistook Mika, a singer who was to perform during the event, for Madeline and killed her instead. Her murder led to two other murders, and the event at the mall that was to be magnificent was ruined. Madeline had narrowly escaped her psychopathic father's net, but was she or JT Thomas safe yet? What will happen to Madeline or JT Thomas — or Marcus Payne? Find out in JT's World by E. Alan Fleischauer.
This book is a roller-coaster of action, betrayal, and vendetta. I was put on edge throughout by the tantalizing scenes of JT Thomas's crises. It was suspenseful reading about how both Madeline and JT Thomas made friends and enemies (the first enemy being Madeline's father), and how they at times drew so close to danger and death. Throughout the book, E. Alan Fleischauer does a great job of intertwining mystery and crisis.
The characters in this book are well-developed, making it easy to understand their motivations and mannerisms. The plot is also captivating, and I was engaged throughout the reading without getting bored. I especially liked the action scenes. To be factual, the author knows how to write good action scenes. However, such scenes sometimes get too bloody, and that may be an issue to sensitive readers. This may be the only negative aspect of the book, but it did not affect my liking of the book.
Overall, this book is an enjoyable read that will satisfy any lover of crime and mystery thrillers. The only issue I found was its gory nature, but that did not affect me so much. Everything else has been done well. Finding no reasons to deduct any stars, I award the book 5 out of 5 stars. The book was exceptionally well edited. I recommend the book to lovers of crime and mystery thrillers.
