Review of JTs World
JT's World grand opening was supposed to be an epic event of a lifetime. Dalton would have been performing and there would have been free drinks for everyone — a party everyone envisioned it to be. However, things escalated very quickly from good to nightmarish. Billy was found with Mika's corpse in the bowling Alley, throwing everything and everyone into pandemonium. He, however, insisted he didn't kill her. Aaron, Mika's husband, was lost to rage and accused Billy of killing her because they were having an affair. Shortly after, things grew even grosser as both Aaron and Billy would soon kill themselves in rage thinking either of them was the killer. As all this was happening, the killer was moving right under everyone's noses and planning another attack. Who is the killer? Why was Mika killed? What world would JT's World turn into? Read JT's World by E. Alan Fleischauer for the entire story.
Well, the book started with a heightened crisis, and I found that instantly spellbinding. To say the least, the prologue deserves a Grammy! It left me wondering, "hey, what do we have here? This must be great!" Many books will put you in an upbeat mood at the start only to ruin everything later. This one didn't. The interest was sustained to the last dot, and to say the book was entertaining would be an utter understatement. The writing revealed uncanny talent and dexterity in writing that only befits the great.
You should be all flattered by now and wondering if there is a "but" coming. I sure have a "but" coming. However, it isn't a great deal if it doesn't affect you just like me. While the character development, suspense, and everything else exceeded my expectations, I feel the book was a bit gory in some instances, especially at the start. Even though I love such dark details in my novels (I love dark and violent scenes, to be honest), I wouldn't feel comfortable reading this book with my kids or with a person who can be easily triggered. This is also a caveat if you are easily triggered by bloody and violent scenes. You should definitely look for a more comfortable read.
I wanted so much to find at least a negative thing about this book to dinge a star from it but I was disappointed. It seems perfect in almost every aspect. The storyline was amazing just as it was captivating. I also didn't find any errors. I could have deducted a star for the gory bits on behalf of my kids but it wasn't an issue to me, so I have no choice but to give it 5 out of 5 stars.
This book would be great for fans of crime thrillers that have a tinge of mystery, revenge, and vendetta. Don't select it if you are afraid of violence and blood.
