JT’s World by E. Alan Fleischauer is the fifth book from the JT Thomas Western Series, which continues the adventures of a wealthy man by the name of John Thurgood Thomas, or more commonly known as "JT," as he takes a trip to Colorado following his adopted daughter Madeline’s advice, along with his rancher, to "cool off" from all the stress from all the work. He had been working non-stop after discovering a gold mine, and the entertainment complex he opened had him stressed. And as the cherry on top, on the opening day of the complex, several employees were missing and found dead after a while. This traumatized our character, but this was not the end. After traveling to his ranch and coming across many individuals along the way, including Indians, priests, sheriffs, and criminals. He became involved in their journey, getting involved in criminal activities unintentionally. After so much trauma and loneliness, it finally seems like JT has a chance at happiness with a very beautiful woman. Will he take his chance at happiness? Or will his grief overwhelm him? Read this book to find out more.

I have read other books by E. Alan Fleischauer, and as a regular reader, I can tell you that if you want books that can attract and retain your attention, this author is the way to go. They are always so straightforward yet detailed. While reading, I could tell the author had an extensive understanding of the western cowboy way of life. The mix of thrill-inducing scenes with a touch of humor is very amusing to read. I personally loved how serious topics like murder, slavery, and assault were handled with empathy and without victim-blaming. I also admire the way the author described attraction without the use of demeaning sexualization. Furthermore, I also loved the characterization of the main character, JT; he is a kind man who is grieving over his first love and fiancé, Annabelle, who was murdered by Madeline’s biological father Marcus. There is no way you cannot love this tragic hero with the way his mental health and compassion have been depicted.

The only thing I didn’t like was the sheer number of characters and places introduced in such a short amount of time. It is just impossible to keep track of so many people. I can even handle the amount of violence it has, as it more or less parallels real life. But the number of times I had to revisit the introduction of a character just because I forgot who they were was baffling.

However, it is not enough to take a point, as it is pretty well-edited and well-written. I would rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to people who love mysteries and crime documentaries. However, this book may not be appropriate for the younger and more sensitive audience as it does contain violence, sexual scenes, and profane language.
