Review of JTs World
John Thurgood Thomas, or JT, as his friends call him, owns JT’s World; the world’s largest amusement parks located in Scottsdale, Arizona. A place that houses a hotel, a restaurant, a bar, a theater and an astonishing Ferris wheel; a place designed to attract people from far and near all year round.
But this story is not about the amusement park, it is about the owner, JT Thomas.
JT is a handsome, kind, and generous man who stumbled upon tremendous riches in a cave he once hid in. With these riches, JT planned to settle down and set up a family with his beloved Annabelle, but before this could happen, Annabelle was unfortunately murdered.
JT uses his new-found wealth to set up his ranch, buy properties from all over the west coast, set up a detective agency and finally build JT’s World.
At the grand opening of JT’s World, an unfortunate event occurs which shakes JT and his friends. After the dust had settled, JT in the company of his ranch foreman and his cowboys sets out on a long ride to help take his mind off the failed opening.
While on this journey, he encounters several challenges, makes new friends including Chip Heller, who later becomes his right-hand man, and also concluded business deals. JT also attracts the attention of women who wanted to be with him, but after Annabelle, JT had no interest in love. One day, JT and Chip Heller rode into White Rock, Colorado where JT meets the breathtaking Dr. Jessica Tillman and finally finds the spark for love again. But White Rock had other plans for JT. You have to read the book to find out those plans and whether JT will overcome the hurdles that White Rock will throw at him.
JT’s World by E. Alan Fleischauer is a fictional, romantic comedy and adventurous book set in the Old Western cities of America of the 1900s. It kicks off from Scottsdale, Arizona, and travels through other towns in Arizona, Colorado, Texas, and Oklahoma.
Through the pages of this book Fleischauer captures many aspects of the human life prevalent in that age and time, such as romance, love, marriage, family, religion, crime, death, and many others. The book also contains other phenomenal and controversial concepts like reincarnation, shape-shifting, homosexuality, devil worshiping, promiscuity, and prostitution.
What I liked the most about JT’s World easy it was to follow the story, even for a reader like me who was just reading the fifth book of an entire series. I didn’t feel lost at all while reading the book because there were plenty of back stories that helped me follow the current story, but not so much as to make the book boring.
I also liked how Fleischauer applied a lot of sarcasm to insight humor in the book. I laughed plenty of times while reading the book.
Personally, I love stories about the western culture, but I absolutely loved the way Fleischauer captured it in this book. It felt like a history class delivered by that history teacher who always knew how to make the story come alive. Whenever JT rode into a new city, I was always excited and eager to know what he would encounter in that city.
I liked virtually everything about this book. Perhaps the only drawback I encountered in reading the book came towards the end. For me, the ending dragged on longer than was necessary, making the book a little tiresome to finish. I almost lost patience trying to finish it, but since I was already hooked to the story, I had to finish it. Asides this minor setback, I love this book.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars . Although I found three typographical errors in the book, this did not affect the flow of the story, and was not enough to affect the rating of the book. JT’s World deserves nothing short of a perfect rating for being an excellent story.
Lastly, I recommend this book to all lovers of fiction and adventure out there, especially if you like stories about the west. However, the book contains vivid pictures of violence and gruesome deaths which characterized the way of life in the Wicked Wild West. Readers should consider this before deciding to read the book.
Furthermore, if you are going to pick up this book, you’ll have to keep your mind open because, as I have earlier on mentioned, the book contains some controversial concepts about human life.
