It all started when two young men discovered they had a similar fantasy - going on annual adventure trips to try out foreign foods and engaging in rigorous outdoor sports. Their fantasy became a reality three years later. They were bored of office work and resorted to taking a break; that led to the birth of Man Mission. Their first adventure trip was to New Zealand, where they went hiking. On the second day of the journey, one of them got his knee twisted and had difficulty walking. They were devoid of human contact until the fifth day when they stumbled across armed drug dealers. It all appeared tough that it could have been the end of Man Mission but it turned out to be the beginning. Two men increased to three, three increased to four. Like that, Man Mission became a tradition of four men embarking on annual trips to exotic places away from their regular life and engaging in challenging outdoor activities. Amidst this tradition, they get married, have kids, and try to scale through the vicissitudes of life.

Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is an enjoyable book. While reading this book, I had an insight into what other parts of the world are like; their culture, food, beautiful views, and more. Each chapter of the book starts with a new adventure trip and the author switches from the events of their trip to their personal life experiences. I loved how detailed the book was, it made me feel like I was present in it. Also, I loved how this tradition strengthened their friendship and made them comfortable sharing their deepest secrets.

I did not dislike anything about the book. It is one of the best books I have read. The plot, characters, and setting were all good. The book was written from the author's point of view and I have to admit that he did a very good job with that.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because I had a good time reading it. I did not find a single error while reading this book, it was well-edited. The book is an educative one, giving an insight into marital life, personal growth, challenges of manhood, and more.

This book is suitable for lovers of adventure and travel books. It is however not recommended to youngsters and people who are sensitive to profane words and sexual content.
