The Arrow That Flies By Day by John Servant is a very interesting story. This story talks about a young man John Thaddeus who faced many difficulties in his life from a young age. John like any other child; did not have a good childhood. His father, an alcoholic did not have much to offer his family. John's mother could not do much to help her son too before her death to an illness.

John loved football and often played with the school team. Due to the situation in his family, he began throwing tantrums in his teenage years and was soon sent to the Marine to be disciplined. His life as a young man was a lonely one except for his guardian angel, Sister Francis who made sure to support him all through his career and life choices.

The story continues, and John finally leaves the Marine to pursue his football career. Will he be accepted into the football team with players better than him? Will he be treated like other players? Will he finally fulfil his dream? This is what you would find out when you finish reading this story.

One thing I love about this story is that It depicts the existence of God in all aspects. God's love for mankind is a mystery which can never be understood by mere mortals. God chooses what he wants to do and he is not answerable to anyone. One lesson I learned from the story is to always persevere, be patient and trust God in every difficult situation. Another lesson I learned is that we should constantly be ready and prepared as we do not know the hour of our death. However, I did not like how this story ended. Tears welled up in my eyes at the end and I wish it had a different ending. Nevertheless, it was carefully written with some reference to Bible passages.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars because I enjoyed the story from beginning to the end but I did not like how the story ended. I did not find an error in this book, which indicates that it was well edited. I recommend this story to all who have lost their faith in God and those who cannot return to God. The story depicts faith as a supernatural gift from God which enables us to believe without doubting whatever God has revealed.
