Nothing Left Behind by L. J. Cherry centers on the impending and inevitable death faced by the characters in the novel. What happens when you casually put on your television and you are told that you have just four weeks to live before the earth is destroyed by an asteroid? How will you face your final days? What will you do differently? How will you confront your child with this devastating news? What will your regrets be? These questions are what some of the characters in this novel are faced with.

In this book, we encounter characters like Brennan, who believes he is worthless and life has been really cruel to him. We also see Eve, a young girl who is scared of the outside world, is in constant conflict with her inner self and wants to experience freedom. Lastly, we see the character of Joel, who constantly has nightmares that he can’t seem to figure out. Join them on their final journey on earth and find out how they reacted to the news of the impending death and how they lived their last days.

I found absolutely no error in this book, which proved that it was exceptionally well edited, and I must say I was really impressed. Generally, I enjoyed this book, and it kept my interest for long hours. The suspense in the story had my heart racing as I flipped the book's pages. Some discoveries I made about Dr. C, Joel, Brennan, and Eve were the biggest highlights of the book for me. I really liked how expressive the author was in describing the feelings of each character in this book. They all had different ways they handled the inevitable death they must face, but how Lily handled it certainly stood out for me. She exhibited a certain attribute all readers should look out for and try to incorporate into their everyday life. Another thing I liked about this book was the diction used by the author. There was no use of needless ambiguous grammatical expressions in it. L. J. Cherry made the words simple to read and understand. The simplicity of the author's diction made this book suitable for readers of all ages. Finally, I like that the characters in this book are very relatable. I related so well with Eve's character.

I honestly didn’t dislike anything about this book, and that explains why the positive points in the previous paragraph were very extensive. Nothing Left Behind by L. J. Cherry exceeded my expectations. It turned out to be a lot better than I expected.

Based on the points I have made so far, it will be absolutely fair to rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I only have positive things to say about this work because I had a pleasant experience reading it.

I recommend this book to readers who are interested in suspense and science fiction novels. You will be thrilled by this story if you have ever wondered what goes on in the mind of a person who has been condemned to death.

I am really intrigued by this book. Many have predicted the end of the world before, but this seems different. It’s hard to know what you would really do unless you were faced with that situation.

It must have been a devastating feeling for the characters when they learned about their impending death. I'd love to know how it all felt for them. Great review.
