Review of Can I Be Frank?
Can I be Frank? by Rob Wyatt is an account of a young Catholic Priest who travels from England to Florida to take the position of the Priest in his first Parish. Father Francis encounters hiccups with his traveling visa and working documents at the airport on his way to Saint Francis of Assisi. He was not sure what to expect. Father Francis, who prefers to be called Frank, arrives in Florida and finds himself in various uncomfortable circumstances. As he familiarizes himself with the new country, the cultural and language disparities are humorous. Father Francis is a priest, and this status does not exclude or make him immune to daily challenges.
The author makes the book entertaining and enchanting by accentuating Father Frank and his humorous mates. Frank's group is composed of dedicated friends. Events that take shape give the story intriguing twists and turns. As Father Frank worked to save St. Francis of Assisi, the quest to save the parish made him receive approval and resistance from the people around him. He gets opposition from Gene, a rich bully in the area. This book characterizes that there are good and bad people in society. Frank had great friends, who included Martha the Church Assistant, Father Bill, Ginny the Doctor, and Karl the Judge; their friendship bond and harmony were outstanding. Martha exemplified a woman with zeal, focus, and who is well-organized. Father Frank gets a lot of backing from Martha as he settles into his new office and how he embarks on his obligations.
The wit in the book is excellent. I loved the flow of the story. The personalities in the book are delightful and well developed. This book is humorous, but there are occurrences when there is a touch of seriousness. I loved Father Frank and his friends' humanitarian actions when they stood and helped Miguel Jose and Victor in times of disaster. There is a display of how merciful, heartwarming, and compassionate Father Franks and his friends were; the friends are entertaining and pleasant.
There is nothing I disliked about the book. The author made the book easy to read. The addition of Bible scripture at the start of each chapter that matches the content made it incredible to read through. Amid trials and tribulations, Father Frank always used prayers that gave him reassurance and direction. Father Frank is charming and has the charisma of a genuine Christian.
The book is comical and full of adventure. The plot of this story is alluring, entertaining, and is well edited. I enjoyed the book from cover to cover. This book displays outstanding character; the story is inspirational. The author did a great job of producing an enjoyable book. I recommend this book to anyone who loves comedy. This book also carries brilliant lessons. I did not see any errors in the book; I will rate the book at 4 out of 4 stars.
