Review of Goods & Effects
[Following is a volunteer review of "Goods & Effects" by Al Schnupp.]
Good and Effects by Al Schnupp is a general fiction that deals with family life and friendship. It is a humorous and entertaining drama book that tells us of an engaging tale about a woman's life.
Hannah Mercer, a 36-year-old woman, lost her husband and two sons in an accident. Their departure was a very tough one for Hannah. Grieving about her loss, she decided to create a meaning in her life. She begins her journey to self realization. But with the tragic loss, will she be able to move forward, or will she see it as a barrier in her life? Why not read and find out!
The book is well-written and is full of human emotions. Due to the vast characters, it can be hard to keep track of the story but despite that, the characters are unique. It tells the story of life and the challenges one can face in life. The book is very lovely and so humorous that I had to re-read some parts again!
What I love about the book is that it focuses on the life of a woman. It is a book that consists of drama and humor to make it more intriguing to a reader. I also love the protagonist, Hannah, who experienced the death of her husband and sons. She sold most of her belonging such as her furnitures, house, farmland and chose to live in an old delivery van. She did not allow the death of her family occupy a large place in her life. This book also serves as a lesson to readers. The character, Hannah, teaches us that despite what we are going through in life, we should always be determined to move forward and never lack behind. This is what I also loved in the book.
I did not find any unsuitable word or sentence in this book, and so I do not hate the book. It was well written, thereby revealing the crafted writing of an experienced author.
Based on my reading and with the absence of multiple errors, I would gladly rate this intriguing book 4 out of 4 stars.
I would like to recommend this book to lovers of drama and to readers who view life journey novels with a bit of humor, an interesting genre. I would also like to recommend this book to adolescents as it might have an impact in their lives.

The fact that there were many characters didn't disturb me. I felt that they needed to be there for the plot development.
